Handmade for you, in my Cotswolds studio
Hello,
My name is Lucy and all the knitwear is handmade by me in my tiny studio right here in the Cotswolds.
Knitting has always been a hobby and I could never quite figure out how to make it my job. I actually designed my first knitwear label logo for a project at school. Then, I sold hand-knitted hats in a boutique whilst at university in 2010.
This brand itself has been in the works for a few years, ever since buying my first knitting machine in 2022, I’ve been making samples and jotting down ideas. I hope you can see the hard work and love that’s gone into every piece of knitwear.
Now, I run Amanti alongside freelance marketing jobs, and raising two toddlers. I don’t always have time to make, everything is sewn together by hand, so it’s very much slow fashion at its slowest. Let’s call it snail-pace fashion.
I source most of my yarn from a 200-year old mill in the UK, and everything is made with either lambswool, a cashmere and lambswool blend, or alpaca and lambswool blend. Never synthetic plastics, always something natural and luxurious.
I am trying my best to be sustainable, from the yarn, and knitting process, down to the details like buttons which are biodegradable and made from tree nuts. This decision was inspired by the beautiful countryside all around me in Oxfordshire.
Amanti is Italian for “Lovers” and these pieces are for the cosy, autumn, crunchy leaves, seasonal coffee, blanket by the fire, dark by 4pm lovers. AKA me:

I hope you love it.
